Croatia boat charter

Croatia offers over one thousand islands, beautiful beaches and vibrant culture – making it an irresistibly memorable yachting destination. Over millennia of imperial conflict have left behind an extraordinary legacy of culinary delicacies and architecture to be discovered during your voyage to this unforgettable yachting destination.

Experience Croatian culture aboard a crewed sailing or gulet yacht with island hopping! Learning of its estimated costs for weekly charter is crucial to planning an enjoyable vacation experience.

Bareboat or Crewed

Croatia is one of Europe’s premier sailing destinations, protected by the Dinaric Alps with countless idyllic beaches and cozy marinas. A bareboat yacht charter allows you to discover this captivating region’s numerous islets and islets solo or with friends and family; giving you complete control of planning an itinerary as relaxing or exciting as desired.

If you’re new to yacht charter or don’t feel confident enough handling a bareboat, we suggest booking a crewed boat instead. This provides the ultimate all-inclusive experience and gives peace of mind knowing your cruise will be safe in professional hands.

On a skippered charter, you’ll experience an unforgettable voyage tailored specifically to you by your captain. They know where the best places are for fun-loving activities and can suggest top destinations like Split, Hvar or Korcula as well as weather and wind patterns to guarantee a safe, comfortable journey that you won’t forget in a hurry.

Our knowledgeable and friendly base team will take great care in organizing every detail for your vacation cruise. They’ll assist in selecting a yacht and itinerary, provide full technical support during your cruise and advise you on its equipment – including how best to use it safely. Finally, they’ll also help organize a comprehensive yacht insurance policy which protects against damages or theft during your voyage.

Your cruise can include both using mooring buoys or staying in a marina, which provides more comfort and facilities such as cafes, restaurants, showers and toilets. We suggest choosing both options during high season when marinas can become quite crowded.

To rent a bareboat in Croatia, a valid boating license or minimum qualification of an International Certificate of Competency and VHF certificate are needed for rental. If this isn’t you, don’t worry; we have professional skippers on standby who will join your journey!

Locations

Croatia offers a diverse range of yacht charter locations, from bustling ports to quiet bays that are ideal for island-hopping. Situated along the Mediterranean’s Adriatic Coast, Croatia has long been popular due to its natural beauty and fascinating history; for centuries it was passed between Illyrian, Roman, Christian and Venetian empires, leaving behind an enduring cultural legacy visible all across its landscapes.

As part of your yacht charter adventure, you’ll visit many historic towns and cities as well as explore its islands that dot its coastline. Popular yacht charter destinations in Croatia are Hvar, Dubrovnik and Kornati – Hvar is well-known for its lively nightlife, gourmet restaurants and elegant cafes, while Dubrovnik boasts medieval streets lined with cafes serving classical music performances; finally Kornati archipelago boasts crystal clear waters with private beaches and breathtaking vistas.

Skippered charters provide an exciting way to experience authentic Croatian culture away from mass tourism. Dock at land and explore a local winery for tours and tasting of their wines; or cruise along the Emerald Adriatic and dine at different restaurants each evening!

For an indulgent experience, why not charter a crewed yacht complete with captain and hostess? Although the price may be higher than with bareboat chartering, having someone take care of all aspects is invaluable – perfect for experienced sailors seeking leisurely cruising experiences! This option would work particularly well on longer voyages.

Croatia offers everything from thrilling sailing holidays to romantic cruising experiences, making it the ideal location for both. Its beautiful waters, breath-taking cliffs and lush islands create one of the most idyllic regions in all of Mediterranean. Plus its ancient culture will surely enchant guests – making a luxury yacht charter the ideal way to discover this entrancing location!

Costs

Cost of renting a yacht in Croatia depends on both its complexity and your sailing experience. If you lack sufficient sailing knowledge to safely operate the vessel yourself, most charter companies offer skipper services for between $150-400 per day; an important factor when making holiday bookings since this will directly impact overall costs.

Budget for mooring fees when leaving and entering marinas during your yacht rental in Croatia. Mooring buoys tend to be cheaper (estimated between 30-40 Euros for monohulls and 40-50 Euros for catamarans*) while marinas may charge more but offer facilities like cafes, restaurants, showers & toilets; using both methods can often provide the most cost-effective means of discovering this region.

If you have chosen a crewed yacht charter, typically only the initial and last nights of marina moorage are included in your charter price; all subsequent nights must be covered at your own cost; fuel costs also depend heavily on boat size, season and usage patterns.

Croatia offers an unforgettable Mediterranean sailing experience. Sail to historic cities like Split and Dubrovnik; discover peaceful islands like Korcula and Hvar; or float into serene national parks. Croatia’s rich cultural heritage consists of millennia of rival empires and incredible architecture: medieval walls and stone-built towns, exquisite cuisine served overlooking shimmering marinas, stylish beach clubs for dancing the night away and much more await discovery along its coastline.

With four strategically-placed airports located along its vast coastline, Croatia offers an endless variety of embarkations points. So hop aboard a luxurious catamaran or sailboat and set off to discover Croatia’s breathtaking Adriatic Sea, its sandy beaches and crystal waters, verdant islands and tranquil bays – an absolute sailors paradise! Why not embark on a skippered yacht charter holiday to discover why Croatia has become such a sought-after Mediterranean yachting holiday destination.

Insurance

Croatia boasts over 1000 islands, an endless pristine coastline and clear blue waters, making it the ideal sailing paradise. Savour exquisite dining overlooking shimmering marinas or dive into crystal coves and national parks before dancing under a canopy of stars on a yacht charter vacation here – there’s so much fun waiting!

Bareboat charters give you the freedom to create your own private yachting vacation. Select the sailing yacht of your choice and craft an individual itinerary, before setting sail and enjoying an open-ended itinerary. Discover secluded coves and bays, charming fishing villages and historic cities like Split, Dubrovnik or Kornati Archipelago at your own pace! Alternatively hire a skipper as your personal guide through popular yachting spots in Croatia such as these destinations: Split, Dubrovnik or Kornati Archipelago

Our fleet of bareboats includes sailing yachts, catamarans and motor boats available for rental throughout the Adriatic. No matter whether it’s sleek and modern motor yacht or romantic gulet you prefer, our Charter Experts are ready to find your ideal vessel!

When purchasing a bareboat, it’s crucial to be familiar with its insurance policies and what coverage is in place. Most bareboats are covered by Croatian compulsory liability insurance – yet many owners remain unaware of its limitations – for instance not covering personal injuries caused by swimmers or divers (coverage amounting to approximately 470,000 euros).

If you want an added layer of security during your charter trip, we highly suggest adding Hull Insurance which covers any damage done to the boat regardless of who caused it. It is an affordable addition that will bring peace of mind, and can be easily arranged through our team of Yacht Experts.

Please be mindful that our basic charter prices are calculated using return charters; this means you will charter a boat for seven nights before returning it back. However, if you plan on visiting multiple Croatian locations such as Split and Dubrovnik during your sailing adventure then one-way charters would provide more time exploring Croatia’s stunning islands, beaches, and coves!
